Electronic system for Ultra-small atomic clock
Number of students: 2
Guide : Arup Polley
Ultra-small atomic clocks provide precision timing that cannot be obtained from low-power quartz crystal technology over longer time intervals. They are extremely important for military and civil applications, such as the synchronization of mobile communication and navigation network in a GPS-denied environment.
In our lab, we are developing Coherent Population Trapping-based atomic clock in a collaborative and sponsored project. The project has multiple research and development challenges involving analog circuit development using PCB, precision control system development, embedded processing and ultimately ASIC development.
