A mobile electronic charging unit that should be capable of billing. It is installed in malls and multi-dwelling units.
Idea: Electric scooters are getting popular at lease in urban areas and the trend is expected to continue. Most electric scooters are charged using onboard charger and hence would need AC socket to charge the vehicle. However, in case of apartments or public areas such as mall or cinema or even office parking, the charging of vehicle would require monitoring to collect the money electricity used. In case of apartment, it could just be to collect electricity charges and in case of malls and public area it could even include small profit to parking owner and service provider. Office parking space may use it just to prevent unauthorized charging and/or for their internal monitoring.
In all the above what is needed is an IOT controlled charging socket. It should perform metering to account for the energy used and control power to socket based on authorization. This would also involve cloud-based authorization server, mobile app to interface with user and also an interface to property owner to monitor and control. Some scooters come with its own wall charger in that case, this solution should just interface to that charger or used at input of the wall charger.
