VLSI architecture design of Ultrasound Imaging system on FPGA
Number of Students : 1
Guides : Chetan Singh Thakur
This project aims to develop a VLSI architecture for Low-power hand-held Ultrasound Imaging system jointly with Texas Instruments. The entire development shall be in a low form factor, low power, custom FPGA board to meet the requirements of hand-held imaging devices. Advanced signal processing (like Convolution and Sparse Convolution Beamforming) and Deep Neural Network algorithms are the keys to reconstructing images with enhanced resolution. The project will encompass developing signal processing techniques in Verilog and several communication protocols to communicate within the hardware components (SPI, UART, USB). The project will require skillsets such as RTL coding in Verilog, and MATLAB coding.
