It is a unique opportunity to faculty members of Engineering Departments to design and conduct courses that meet the requirements of Outcome Based Education and NBA Accreditation and to gain valuable expertise in leveraging technology to enhance the quality student learning.

During the program, participants will
- Understand what Outcome Based Education is
- Write Course Outcomes of a course
- Plan for Assessment
- Understand the role of Instructional Methods
- Design a course as per the model ADDIE
The program uses guided active learning as its dominant instruction method. More than 40% of the time will be dedicated to practice and creative exercises in group settings. It is expected that all the participants would eventually become members of a community of practitioners.

N J RAO
N.J. Rao is a Professor retired from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He was the Chairman of CEDT (Centre for Electronics Design and Technology, IISc during 1981 – 1996, and the Chairman, Department of Management Studies, IISc during 1998 – 2006, and superannuated in July 2006. He was a Consulting Professor at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bangalore, a member of Core committees that defined the present NBA and NAAC accreditation processes. He is presently working with Kerala State Higher Education Council for improving quality of learning in Higher Education in Degree Colleges. He conducts faculty development programs in both engineering institutions and degree colleges. He offers MOOC programs NATE and TALG through NPTEL. His present research interests include higher education, pedagogy, and educational equity.

- All participants need to be regular employees of the institutions offering AICTE accredited formal Engineering programs and should be sponsored by the head of their institution.
- Participants are required to bring their own laptop for the hands-on workshop.
- Registration fee includes: Conference Kit, Breakfast, Lunch and Tea/Coffee.
- Stay within the campus only for With Accommodation registrant.
- Registration fee Excluded: Dinner, travel expenses and any other expenses.
- No refund once you pay the registration amount for the workshop.
